HANZO STEEL - KILL BILL REMIXES - RIP DAVID CARRADINE
IN LIGHT OF THE TRAGIC EVENTS THAT OCCURRED YESTERDAY, I FELT IT WAS ONLY FITTING TO PAY TRIBUTE THE THE THE LEGENDARY ACTOR, ECCENTRIC, AND ALL AROUND BADASS: DAVID CARRADINE. WHETHER IT WAS KICKING ASS WITH THE BEST PORTRAYAL OF AN ASIAN GUY BY A WHITE MAN WHO REALLY LOOKED NOTHING LIKE AN ASIAN GUY, RACING HEAVILY ARMED VEHICLES AGAINST SYLVESTER STALLONE IN A POST-APOCALYPTIC NIGHTMARE, HOLDING HIS OWN FOR AT LEAST 3 MINUTES AGAINST CHUCK FUCKING NORRIS, OR TRIGGERING A BLOOD VENDETTA WITH UMA THURMAN, THIS MAN WILL ALWAYS HAVE AN ASS-KICKING PLACE IN AMERICAN CINEMA.
THAT BEING SAID THIS BOOTLEG MASHUP ALBUM FROM SAN DIEGO'S BART BLACKSTONE & DJ ATARI, AND NYC'S GERRY V & BILLIONS MCMILLIONS WAS RELEASED ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO ON AN ULTRA LIMITED RELEASE. THE BANG BANG OVERTURE, MISTED NERVE, AND IRONSIDE JUMPOFF ARE STILL SOME OF MY FAVORITE TUNES OUT THERE.
THERE WAS A 2ND ALBUM RELEASED THE SAME YEAR BUT IT NEVER REALLY HAD THE IMPACT OF SOME OF THE CUTS OFF THE FIRST VOLUME FOR ME.
